Strategies for Effective Marketing
The Key to Gaining Your Prospect’s Interest!
In selling, you must remember that the prospect is in their
office or place of business, has never seen or heard of you,
and naturally is not interested in you.
Therefore, the only possible way for them to become
interested in you is for you to become interested in them.
The only way you can interest them is to call their
attention, in no uncertain terms, to something that will
add to their happiness, health, or wealth.
After all, there are only three important things connected
with a sale: You, the product, and the prospect.
In geometry you are taught that a straight line is the
shortest distance between two points. In selling, the
shortest distance between you and the prospect is a sale. A
Sales Plan shortens this distance.
You can get an audience with the prospect by sending them
to visit your page. But your mission as a creative online
business owner (read salesperson) is to convert them into a
customer.
To achieve this objective, you must hit the bulls-eye.
Your gun may be the best and your aim the finest, but if
your gun doesn’t have a bullet, then it is certain that you
are not going to hit the bulls-eye.
The bulls-eye in selling is the sale, and your bullet is a
prepared sales plan!
However, at times it is absolutely impossible for you to
give the prospect all the knowledge and information you
possess about your product on your sales page. They would
not be able to grasp your meaning or to understand what you
were trying to do for them.
In otherwords, you would simply confuse them, and instead
of making a sale you would possibly encounter an
ignominious defeat.
Therefore, the most common-sense thing for you to do is to
take the best parts of the knowledge and information about
your product and shape it into a prepared sales plan.
In this way you avoid giving them the knowledge and
information in a haphazard, hit-or-miss way, but you give
it to them in a scientifically planned way.
You know that what you have to offer is like having a key
to a large safety deposit box full of gold, rare artifacts,
and other assets but your visitors haven’t yet realized
this.
The trick is to developing a method of clearly explaining
this without totally confusing your prospects.
The most effective method to do this is to create a
squeeze to first capture your visitors contact information
and then following up with them using a multi-part
autoresponder series.
This allows you multiple chances to address each of the
key priorities of your prospects, their happiness, health
and wealth, by highlighting the key benefits of your
product and how it would help improve their lives.
This way you could slowly provide all the benefits of your
product to your potential customers in a slow controlled
release that doesn’t total confuse your readers!
